Mr Tejveer Singh Bhatia(Head of litigation)

Mr Tejveer Singh Bhatia obtained his Law Degree from Guru Gobind Indraprastha University in 2004 and has been practising Corporate Commercial Litigation since then. He has vast experience in litigation regarding various spectrums of law, including Intellectual Property Rights, Media, Broadcasting, Telecom, Arbitration and Constitutional Law. In 2015, he was awarded ‘Rising Star Below 40’ by Legal Era. Mr Tejveer Singh Bhatia had started his practice under the able guidance of Mr Maninder Singh, Senior Advocate (Former Additional Solicitor General of India) and Hon’ble Ms Justice Ms Prathiba M Singh (then Senior Advocate), which gave him exposure to multi-faceted litigations before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and Tribunals such as TDSAT, NCDRC, etc. He worked on diverse matters about Constitutional Law, Telecom Law, Broadcasting Law, Media Law, Advertisement Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law, Arbitration Law and Taxation. The practice of Mr Tejveer Singh Bhatia has been closely related to media, broadcasting and telecom laws, and he has handled various issues about the telecom and broadcasting sector before the Hon’ble Supreme Court. During his stint at Singh & Singh Law Firm LLP, where he was the Managing Partner of the Firm, Mr Tejveer Singh Bhatia had the opportunity to work on various issues relating to Intellectual Property Rights before various Forums such as District Courts, Delhi High Court and Supreme Court. He was also handling the Arbitration matters for the Firm and has represented multiple clients before the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court in Arbitration matters. He has appeared before NCLT and NCLAT regarding multiple Corporate Governance and Insolvency issues. Mr Tejveer Singh Bhatia regularly appeared not only before Forums in Delhi but also in various Forums outside Delhi, including Courts in Punjab & Haryana, the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir, the High Court of Karnataka, the High Court of Bombay, the High Court of Madras etc. Mr Tejveer Singh Bhatia has handled some of the industry-shaping and high-stakes litigations for BSNL, Zee Entertainment Enterprise Limited, India TV, Zee Media Corporation Ltd., Siti Cable, Dish TV India Ltd., Havells etc. and has dealt with multiple issues regarding the applicability of Article 12 to BCCI, imposition of Sales Tax on Telecom Service Providers, Maintainability of Arbitration Clause after enactment of Special Laws on the subject matter, Copyright on the theme of a TV series etc. He has also represented the interests of India before international organisations such as the World Trade Organization (WTO).
